  It's too easy to find in these villages typical products connected with nomadic sheep breeding, even before the Romans colonized these areas sheep farming was widespread on our mountains; through the Lex Agraria (Land Law) they codified this activity, which was further re-organized by Frederick II of Swabia before 1200 and by Alphonso I of Aragon in 1447 through the institution of the "King's Paths". It made nomadic breeding the most important business for the following four centuries. So it was inevitable to dedicate to this topic the perfect tour, allowing to discover producers of high quality meat, cheese and honey in every single village.
